Replacement Battery for Gas Leak Detectors

The Estry 712 is a nickel-metal hydride pack built to match the original specifications for TPI combustible gas leak detectors. It supplies 3.6V and 2000mAh capacity for technicians who need a direct swap in the field.

Voltage and Connector Compatibility

The single specification that decides fit is the 3.6V nominal voltage combined with the listed part numbers A007, A774 and 160AAH3BML. If your detector requires a different voltage or uses a different part number, this pack will not work.

Installation Notes

The pack slides into the detector's battery compartment without tools; polarity markings on the housing match the original layout. The most common issue is ordering the wrong part number, so verify the model label on your instrument before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How long will the 2000 mAh capacity actually run a TPI 712 gas leak detector?

The 2000 mAh pack delivers 7.2 Wh at 3.6 V. Runtime depends on the detector's current draw; a typical instrument drawing 200 mA would run roughly ten hours per charge.

What connector standard does the pack use and what voltage does it supply?

The battery is built to the original 3.6 V specification for the listed TPI models. It uses the same proprietary connector as the factory pack, so no adapter is needed.

Will the 51.78 x 43.44 x 14.68 mm dimensions fit the battery compartment of a TPI 716N?

Yes. The pack matches the OEM size exactly and weighs 126 g, so it seats in the 716N, 714, 717R and other listed detectors without modification.
