Direct replacement for Magna-Mike 8500

This nickel-metal hydride pack matches the original 6.0 V, 3000 mAh and 18.0 Wh ratings of the Panametrics Magna-Mike 8500. It is built for technicians who need a drop-in power source for that specific gauge. The unit ships new and carries ISO 9001, RoHS, CE, UN 38.3 and MSDS certifications.

Capacity and daily runtime

At 3000 mAh the pack delivers a full day of typical thickness-measurement work before recharging. Heavy continuous logging or backlight use will drain it faster, so plan a mid-shift swap for extended surveys. The 18.0 Wh rating keeps it within standard shipping limits for lithium-free transport.

Physical fit and protection

The 112.4 × 46.12 × 22.6 mm brick weighs 416.5 g and slides into the instrument’s native battery compartment without adapters. Integrated circuits guard against over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage and short circuits, reducing the risk of field failure. No extra cables or mounting hardware are required.
