Voltage and capacity must match the original pack

The cell delivers 6.0V and 700mAh for 4.2Wh of energy, the exact figures required by the listed Midland radios. Using a pack with a different voltage or capacity can prevent the radio from powering on or cause incorrect charge reporting.

Compact sealed pack runs cool with no active cooling

Measuring 53.0 x 43.3 x 18.1mm and weighing 92.0g, the battery fits the existing radio compartment without modification. Ni-MH chemistry produces minimal heat during normal transmit and receive cycles, and the sealed construction adds no audible noise. Certifications include ISO9001, RoHS, CE, UN38.3 and MSDS.

Questions about this item

What does the 700mAh capacity mean for talk time on a Midland GXT-757 radio?

The 700mAh rating at 6.0V delivers 4.2Wh of energy, providing similar run time to the original PB-ATL/G7 pack in compatible Midland two-way radios.

How does the 6.0V Ni-MH chemistry affect charging compared with lithium packs?

Ni-MH cells at 6.0V accept a standard trickle or peak-detect charge; they do not require the constant-current/constant-voltage profile used for lithium chemistries.

Will the 53.0 x 43.3 x 18.1mm pack fit the battery compartment of a Midland GXT-1000VP4?

Yes, the dimensions match the original BATT-5R housing, so it seats correctly in the GXT-1000VP4 and other listed Midland models.
