What this vacuum is and who it suits

The Eureka NEU188 PowerSpeed is a corded upright vacuum with a 12.6 inch cleaning path and a 4 litre dust cup. LED headlights illuminate the floor ahead while the washable foam filter traps dust. At 12.4 lbs it can be carried up stairs without strain. The 18 ft power cord and stretch hose add up to 5 ft of extra reach for above-floor tasks.

Who should consider it and who should not

Homeowners who want a lightweight, bagless machine for whole-house cleaning will appreciate the large capacity and included crevice, upholstery and pet tools. Buyers who need cordless freedom or a self-standing stick design should look elsewhere. The upright form factor also requires storage space for the full-height body.

How it fits into a cleaning routine

Plug the 18 ft cord into a standard outlet and push the vacuum across carpet or hard floors; the wide path covers ground quickly. The detachable handle and stretch hose let you clean stairs, upholstery and ceiling corners without moving the main unit. Empty the 4 litre cup into a bin and rinse the foam filter when suction drops, keeping running costs low.

Questions about this item

Does the Eureka NEU188 need a power outlet within 18 ft. of where I vacuum?

Yes, the 18 ft. cord must reach a standard mains socket; the unit is not cordless.

Can I keep using my existing crevice and upholstery tools with this vacuum?

The box already includes a telescoping flexible crevice tool, a 2-in-1 upholstery tool and a pet tool, so separate tools are not required.

How do I know the LED headlights are functioning after I plug it in?

Switch the vacuum on; the headlights illuminate automatically to show they are working.
