Matter Thread Smart Plug

The Eve Energy smart plug connects to a Thread network using Matter, letting you control lights and appliances from Apple Home, Samsung SmartThings, Amazon Alexa or Google Home without a vendor bridge. It fits Type B sockets and accepts Type A or B plugs, targeting smart-home buyers, office automation and technology enthusiasts who want local, cross-platform control.

Thermals Noise Power

The unit draws up to 15 A at 120 V AC, 60 Hz for a maximum load of 1800 W, and communicates solely over Thread so there is no cloud-dependent radio active during normal operation. With no moving parts and a compact 2.8 by 1.5 by 2.4 in enclosure, it runs silently and adds negligible heat to the outlet.

App Insights Scheduling

The free Eve app for iOS 16.4 or later and Android 8.1 or later adds power-consumption tracking, automated schedules and detailed usage insights that the native platform apps do not surface. Local communication means automations execute even when the internet is down, and the Thread radio extends the mesh for other compatible devices.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Eve Energy Matter smart plug and what step do people often miss?

Plug it into a Type B outlet, then add it in a Matter-compatible app using a Thread Border Router such as a HomePod mini or Apple TV 4K; the step often missed is confirming the router is on the same 2.4 GHz network before pairing.

What maintenance or replacement will the Eve Energy Matter smart plug need over time?

No user-serviceable parts exist; if the internal relay wears out after many switching cycles the whole unit must be replaced.

What limit appears first when the Eve Energy Matter smart plug runs a high-draw appliance continuously?

The 15 A / 1,800 W rating at 120 V 60 Hz is the hard ceiling; exceeding it will trip the internal protection.
