Smart plug two-pack for Matter homes

The Eve Energy two-pack adds app and voice control to lights or appliances using Thread and Matter. Each plug fits a Type B socket and accepts Type A or B plugs. It is aimed at smart-home buyers, office automation, and users of Apple Home, SmartThings, Alexa or Google Home running iOS 16.4 or Android 8.1.

15 A 1800 W capacity per outlet

Each unit handles up to 15 A at 120 V 60 Hz for a maximum of 1800 W resistive load. That covers most lamps, fans, heaters and kitchen appliances. High-draw devices such as large air-conditioners or workshop tools exceed the rating and need a dedicated circuit.

Free Eve app adds schedules and power data

The Eve app for iPhone and iPad provides scheduling, presence automation and consumption tracking without cloud dependency. Local Thread communication keeps response fast and data private. A Matter controller and Thread border router are required and listed on the packaging or evehome.com.

Questions about this item

Will the 15 A rating handle the same appliances my older 10 A smart plugs currently control?

Yes, the 15 A and 1800 W rating supports most household appliances that fit a Type B socket, so existing loads within that limit will work without change.

How can I confirm the Thread network is active after pairing with my Matter controller?

The Eve app for iOS shows real-time power consumption and connection status, confirming the plug is communicating over the local Thread mesh once setup finishes.

Does the 2-pack include a Thread Border Router or must I supply one separately?

A Thread Border Router is not included; the packaging notes that a Matter controller or Thread Border Router is required and must be provided by the user.
