Mercury-free alkaline chemistry

The alkaline formulation provides steady output without mercury content. Normal use in low-drain electronics produces minimal heat and silent operation. No charging infrastructure or special disposal handling is required beyond standard battery recycling.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 9V batteries in my device and what is the common mistake with the snap connectors?

Align the positive and negative terminals on each 522 battery with the device contacts, then press firmly until the snap connectors click; the step people get wrong is forcing a reversed battery which bends the snaps and breaks the circuit.

What maintenance or replacement will these 9V alkaline cells need over time?

The 100 percent mercury-free alkaline chemistry cannot be recharged; replace all four cells when device runtime drops noticeably or the date code shows the pack has been stored for several years.
