Compact 8-port managed switch

The EVESKY Catalyst 2960CX-8TC-L is an 8-port Gigabit managed switch designed for high-speed data connectivity and Wi-Fi backhaul in space-constrained environments. Its compact dimensions of 10.6 x 8.4 x 1.7 inches and fanless operation allow placement outside traditional network closets, reducing cable runs. The unit weighs 3.79 lb and includes an internal power supply.

Suited for quiet, space-limited deployments

This switch suits installers who need managed Layer 2 features in a silent, shallow form factor for wall boxes, under-desk mounting or rack shelves. It runs Cisco IOS LAN Base software for VLAN, QoS and security configuration. Buyers requiring Power over Ethernet, SFP uplink ports or fan-cooled throughput for dense aggregations should look at other models.

Eight 1000Base-T RJ-45 ports

The decisive specification is the eight 1000Base-T RJ-45 interfaces, which provide copper Gigabit connectivity without fibre or PoE support. Each port auto-negotiates speed and duplex for straightforward device attachment. Confirm that your cabling and endpoint requirements match this port count and media type before purchasing.
