Managed 1U rack switch with 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports for enterprise networks

  • 48 copper ports handle voice, data and video traffic
  • Layer 3 routing scales network segments without extra hardware
  • Managed operation gives full control over VLANs and QoS
  • 1 U rack form factor fits dense cabinet deployments
  • 09 lb weight simplifies single-person installation

Enterprise Switch

The EVESKY Catalyst 3560X-48T is a managed Layer 3 switch built for enterprise networks. It provides 48 ports that auto-negotiate at 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps and fits a standard 1U rack space. The unit ships new with the IP Base feature set for data routing.

Suitable Deployments

This switch suits organisations that need a standalone, rack-mountable aggregation layer with full management capabilities. It is not suited for buyers who require Power over Ethernet, 10 Gigabit uplinks, or a compact desktop form factor.

Deciding Specification

The defining spec is the 48 copper ports operating at 10/100/1000 speeds. If your design calls for exactly that port count and speed combination in a managed Layer 3 chassis, this model matches the requirement.

Questions about this item

Will the 48 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports auto-negotiate with my older 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps devices?

Yes, each of the 48 ports supports 10, 100 and 1000 Mbps speeds and will auto-negotiate the highest common rate with legacy equipment.

Which front-panel LEDs confirm the switch is operating correctly after rack-mounting and power-on?

The unit shows per-port link/activity and speed LEDs plus system, power-supply and fan-status LEDs; all green indicates normal operation.

Does the package include rack-mount brackets and a power cord, or must I order them separately?

The 1U chassis ships with mounting brackets and an installed AC power supply; a region-specific IEC power cord is the only item typically sourced separately.
