  • Catalyst 2960 feature set includes TrustSec security and EnergyWise power management
  • Compact 1 U rackmount chassis fits standard cabinets with 17.5 in depth

Fixed-configuration 24-port PoE switch

The EVESKY WS-C2960-24PC-L is a Catalyst 2960 Series switch with 24 Ethernet 10/100 ports that supply PoE. Two dual-purpose uplinks accept 10/100/1000 copper or SFP modules. Total PoE budget is 370W, allowing up to 15.4W per port for phones, cameras or access points.

Step up from non-PoE or smaller switches

This model replaces a plain 10/100 switch when powered devices must be added without separate injectors. The jump is worth it when the site needs up to 24 powered endpoints and a single 370W budget covers them, avoiding extra power bricks and cabling.

370W budget handles 24 ports at 15.4W

With the full budget available, every port can deliver 15.4W simultaneously for standard PoE devices. Headroom shrinks if higher-power endpoints are added, so deployments requiring more than 15.4W per port will exceed the switch capacity.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions and weight for rack-mounting the WS-C2960-24PC-L?

The switch measures 1.73 x 17.5 x 13 in and weighs 20.94 lb, fitting a standard 1U rack space.

How do I use the two dual-purpose uplinks on the WS-C2960-24PC-L, and what is the common mistake?

Each uplink can run as 10/100/1000 copper or accept an SFP module; do not plug both media types into the same port pair simultaneously.

When will the 370 W PoE budget on the WS-C2960-24PC-L need attention?

Plan a power review when adding devices that draw near 15.4 W per port across many of the 24 ports, as total load approaches the 370 W limit.
