Enterprise PoE+ Switch

The WS-C2960S-24PS-L is a rack-mountable 1U switch with 24 Gigabit PoE+ downlink ports and four 1G SFP uplinks. It runs the LAN Base feature set and includes 128 MB of DRAM for Layer 2 switching tasks.

Suits PoE access deployments

This unit fits networks that need to power phones, cameras or access points from a single switch with a 370 W PoE budget. It does not suit environments that require Layer 3 routing, stacking beyond FlexStack or PoE++ power levels.

PoE budget of 370 W

The 370 W PoE+ capacity determines how many powered devices can run simultaneously on the 24 downlink ports. Check the power draw of each endpoint before planning the full port population.

Questions about this item

What does the 370 W PoE budget mean for powering devices on the 24 ports?

The 370 W budget is shared across all 24 PoE+ ports, so you can run many phones or cameras at once, but the total draw must stay under 370 W.

What uplink speed do the four SFP slots provide?

Each SFP uplink runs at 1 Gbps, giving four gigabit fibre or copper uplinks for aggregation or stacking.

How much rack depth does the 44.5 × 38.6 × 4.5 cm chassis need?

The switch is 38.6 cm deep and 1 U high, so it fits in standard racks with at least 38.6 cm of usable depth.
