EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW2 DT Gaming 8GB GDDR5X graphics card

GTX 1080 FTW2 DT Gaming 8GB

The EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW2 DT Gaming graphics card delivers 8GB of GDDR5X memory for enthusiast gamers and VR users. It operates at a real base clock of 1607 MHz and a real boost clock of 1733 MHz. The iCX cooling system includes nine thermal sensors monitoring GPU, memory and VRM temperatures. RGB LEDs indicate thermal status for each zone.

8GB GDDR5X capacity and clocks

The 8192MB GDDR5X frame buffer handles 1440p gaming and VR titles with headroom for high texture settings. At 4K resolution the 8GB capacity becomes a limiting factor in modern AAA workloads. The 1733 MHz boost clock sustains performance in less memory-intensive scenarios. Driver optimisation and game engine scaling determine practical limits.

Dual-slot 10.5 inch form factor

The card measures 10.5 inches long, 2.5 inches wide and 5.06 inches tall, fitting standard ATX cases with dual-slot clearance. A vented heatsink fin design and pin fins optimise airflow through the chassis. Asynchronous fan control adjusts each fan independently based on sensor data. Standard display outputs support leading VR headsets with plug-and-play compatibility.
