Evoc L5501A 15.3" QHD+ 165Hz Gaming Laptop

The Evoc L5501A (L550JNN) is a 15.3-inch gaming laptop with a QHD+ 165Hz display. It runs on an Intel Core Ultra 7-356H processor with 16 cores and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.7 GHz. Graphics are handled by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 with 8GB of GDDR7 video memory. The system includes 64GB of DDR5 5600MHz memory and an 8TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD. It ships with Windows 11 Pro.

Suited for high-spec portable gaming

This configuration suits users who need 64GB of RAM and 8TB of fast storage in a 3.51 lb chassis for multitasking, content creation, or demanding games at QHD+ resolution. The 165Hz panel supports smooth motion. Buyers who need a smaller screen, lower weight, or a different GPU tier should evaluate other models. The magnesium-aluminum alloy build and Gelid GC Extreme thermal compound aim to manage thermals under load.

Deciding specification: 64GB DDR5 5600MHz

The installed 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR5 5600MHz kit is the single specification that determines suitability for memory-intensive tasks such as large dataset processing, virtualization, or heavy creative workloads. This capacity and speed are configured in dual-channel mode. If your workflow does not require this memory ceiling, a laptop with less RAM may meet your needs at lower cost.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 64 GB DDR5 5600 MHz kit or a smaller capacity?

The laptop ships with 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5 5600 MHz dual-channel memory already installed, so no smaller option is offered on this configuration.

What does the 1.5 GHz base and 4.7 GHz turbo on the Ultra 7-356H mean for everyday speed?

The 16-core Ultra 7-356H runs at 1.5 GHz base and boosts to 4.7 GHz, giving strong single-thread responsiveness and high multi-thread throughput for gaming and content work.

How does the PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe interface affect the 8 TB SSD in real use?

The 8 TB array (2 x 4 TB) runs on PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe, delivering sequential read/write speeds that saturate the Gen 4 lane for fast boots and level loads.
