Built for high-refresh gaming

The Evoc L5501A pairs a 15.3" QHD+ panel at 165 Hz with an Intel Core Ultra 7-356H and NVIDIA RTX 5060 graphics. Sixteen cores reach 4.7 GHz turbo while 32 GB of DDR5 5600 memory feeds the GPU's 8 GB GDDR7 frame buffer. An 8 TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe array (2 x 4 TB) provides the capacity for large libraries and fast load times. Windows 11 Pro ships pre-installed.

Stepping up from mid-range 1080p machines

The jump is worth it when you need 2650 x 1600 resolution at high frame rates without lowering texture quality. The 16-core Panther Lake CPU and RTX 5060 combination removes the bottleneck seen on 8 GB VRAM cards at this resolution. Gelid GC Extreme thermal compound applied to both processor dies keeps sustained clocks higher during long sessions. The magnesium-aluminium chassis stays rigid while weighing 3.51 lbs.

Straightforward drive and memory access

Both M.2 slots and both SO-DIMM slots are reachable after removing the bottom panel, so the 8 TB SSD pair and 32 GB DDR5 kit can be serviced or expanded later. The main risk is stripping the small case screws if the wrong driver bit is used. FlexiCharger negotiates power delivery automatically, so no specific adapter wattage must be matched. Intel DTT and APO tuning runs in the background without user intervention.

Questions about this item

What chassis clearance does the 13.53" x 10.31" footprint with .63" to .78" height need for a sleeve or backpack compartment?

A sleeve or compartment should allow at least 13.53 inches wide, 10.31 inches deep and 0.78 inches tall to accommodate the magnesium-aluminum chassis without pressure on the OLED panel.

How is the Gelid GC Extreme thermal compound applied during the HIDevolution build, and what step must not be skipped?

Technicians remove the factory paste, clean both dies with isopropyl alcohol, spread a thin even layer of Gelid GC Extreme on the CPU and GPU, then torque the heatsink in a cross pattern so the compound seats without air pockets.

Which storage slots will need attention when the 8 TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe array reaches its write endurance limit?

The laptop uses two M.2 2280 slots populated with 4 TB drives; either module can be swapped independently when its SMART health indicators show the rated TBW has been consumed.
