16-inch QHD+ 300Hz gaming laptop

The Evoc V3601A pairs a 16-inch 2560 x 1600 panel running at 300 Hz with an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus 24-core processor and NVIDIA RTX 5050 graphics. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR5 5600 memory and 24 TB of PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe storage complete the core specification. It ships with Windows 11 Pro installed.

Upgraded thermal compound and storage

HIDevolution replaces the factory thermal interface with Gelid GC Extreme on both CPU and GPU to lower operating temperatures under load. The original drive configuration is replaced by three 8 TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe modules, delivering 24 TB total capacity and faster boot and load times than the stock arrangement. The upgrade is worthwhile when sustained heavy workloads demand cooler operation and maximum local storage.

24 TB NVMe capacity and 16 GB DDR5 headroom

Twenty-four terabytes of solid-state storage comfortably hold large game libraries, video projects and virtual machines without external drives. Sixteen gigabytes of dual-channel DDR5 handles current titles and multitasking, though memory-intensive rendering or heavy virtualisation may exceed the available RAM. The 300 Hz display provides smooth motion for competitive gaming, while the 5.5 GHz turbo ceiling supports bursty single-thread workloads.

Questions about this item

What are the chassis dimensions for the EVOC V3601A so I can check bag or desk fit?

The laptop measures 14.21 inches wide by 10.20 inches deep and ranges from 1 to 1.22 inches high.

How is the Gelid GC Extreme thermal compound applied during the HIDevolution build process?

Technicians remove the factory paste, clean the CPU and GPU dies, then spread a thin layer of Gelid GC Extreme before reassembling the heatsink for optimal contact.

When will the 24 TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe storage array need replacement under heavy write workloads?

The three 8 TB drives use modern endurance-rated NAND; typical client workloads reach rated TBW after several years, so plan a health check at the 3-year mark.
