16" QHD+ 300Hz Gaming Laptop

The Evoc V3601A pairs a 16-inch 2560x1600 display running at 300Hz with an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus 24-core processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 graphics with 8GB GDDR7. 64GB of DDR5 5600MHz memory and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD complete a configuration aimed at competitive gaming and heavy multitasking. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Gelid GC Extreme Thermal Upgrade

HIDevolution applies Gelid GC Extreme thermal interface material to the CPU and GPU during assembly, replacing the stock compound to lower sustained temperatures. The build also includes a full quality-control cycle with updated BIOS, driver installation, burn-in stress testing, and physical inspection before shipment. This reduces the chance of early hardware faults and improves thermal headroom.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous load the 24-core Arrow Lake processor can reach a 5.5 GHz max turbo frequency while the enhanced thermal interface helps maintain clock speeds longer than standard paste allows. The 300Hz panel keeps motion sharp during extended sessions, and the PCIe 4.0 SSD sustains high throughput for asset streaming without throttling. Dual-channel DDR5 bandwidth supports the CPU during prolonged compute tasks.

Questions about this item

What chassis clearance does the 16" 2560x1600 300Hz display need for mounting?

The laptop measures 14.21" wide by 10.20" deep and stands 1" to 1.22" high, so any mount or sleeve must accommodate those outer dimensions.

How is the Gelid GC Extreme thermal compound applied to the Ultra 9-290HX Plus and RTX 5050, and what step is often missed?

HIDevolution disassembles the cooling assembly, cleans both dies, spreads a thin layer of Gelid GC Extreme on each, then reassembles; the step often missed is re-torquing the heatsink screws in a cross pattern to ensure even pressure.

When will the 64GB DDR5 5600MHz memory or 1TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD need replacement?

The memory uses two 32GB DDR5 modules and the storage is a single 1TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe drive; both are user-replaceable and typically require attention only if capacity or speed demands exceed the current configuration.
