Product identity

The Evoc V3601C is a 16-inch QHD+ gaming laptop built around an Intel Core Ultra 9-290HX Plus 24-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card with 8 GB of GDDR7 memory. It ships with 32 GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD, running Windows 11 Pro for enthusiasts who need high frame rates and fast load times in a portable chassis.

Thermals and power

HIDevolution applies Gelid GC Extreme thermal interface material to the CPU and GPU during assembly, targeting lower core temperatures under sustained load. The 300 Hz display panel and Arrow Lake architecture run within a 14.21 by 10.20 by 1.22 inch frame weighing 5.53 lbs, balancing airflow and acoustic profile for extended sessions.

Deciding specification

The 16-inch QHD+ panel at 2560 by 1600 resolution and 300 Hz refresh rate is the single specification that determines whether this laptop matches a buyer's competitive gaming or content-creation workflow.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Gelid GC Extreme thermal interface material on the CPU and GPU, and what step do people usually get wrong?

The Gelid GC Extreme is pre-applied by the builder during assembly; there is no user installation step. The common mistake is attempting to re-paste the Intel Core Ultra 9-290HX Plus or RTX 5070 yourself, which voids the customisation warranty.

What maintenance or replacement will the 32 GB DDR5 5600 MHz memory need later?

The 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5 5600 MHz modules are soldered or socketed for dual-channel operation; no routine maintenance is required. If capacity becomes limiting, the only option is a full motherboard swap, as the memory is not user-upgradable.

At what point does the 1 TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD hit its thermal limit under sustained write loads?

The SSD shares chassis airflow with the CPU and GPU cooled by Gelid GC Extreme. Under continuous heavy writes the drive will throttle once its controller reaches its internal safety temperature, which is the first limit encountered during sustained use.
