16-inch QHD+ 300 Hz gaming laptop

The Evoc V3601C pairs a 16-inch QHD+ panel with a 300 Hz refresh rate for smooth competitive play. An Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus 24-core processor reaches a 5.5 GHz max turbo frequency. An NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 with 8 GB GDDR7 handles modern titles. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro.

PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe storage ceiling

The 2 TB M.2 drive operates on a PCIe 4.0 x4 link, so sequential throughput tops out at the interface limit rather than the flash potential. DDR5 memory runs at 5600 MHz in dual-channel mode, capping bandwidth at the JEDEC specification. The 300 Hz display can only present frames the GPU delivers within its own render budget.

Upgrade from 64 GB DDR5 and 1 TB PCIe 3.0

Moving from a 64 GB DDR5 kit and a 1 TB PCIe 3.0 drive doubles memory capacity and storage space while shifting to the faster PCIe 4.0 x4 bus. The jump is worth it when running memory-hungry workloads or loading large game libraries without external drives. The 24-core Arrow Lake CPU also replaces 16-core mobile parts for heavier multithreaded tasks.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 128 GB DDR5 configuration or look for a smaller kit?

The laptop ships with 128 GB as 2 x 64 GB modules running at 5600 MHz in dual channel. That capacity suits heavy multitasking and large creative workloads; a smaller kit would only make sense if you need to reduce cost.

What does the 5.5 GHz max turbo on the 24-core Ultra 9 290HX Plus actually deliver in daily use?

The 24-core Arrow Lake processor hits 5.5 GHz on single-thread bursts while sustaining high all-core clocks for rendering and compile jobs, so frame rates and throughput stay strong under load.

How does the PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe interface limit the 2 TB SSD in practice?

The drive connects over four lanes of PCIe 4.0, capping sequential throughput near the interface maximum and keeping game loads and file copies fast.
