18″ QHD+ 240Hz gaming laptop

The Evoc X5802A pairs an 18-inch QHD+ panel running at 240 Hz with an Intel Core Ultra 9-290HX Plus processor and NVIDIA RTX 5080 graphics. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR5 system memory and a four-terabyte NVMe SSD complete a configuration built for high-refresh competitive play and content creation.

PCIe 4.0 x4 storage interface

The four-terabyte capacity is delivered across two M.2 drives connected through a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface. That link sets the practical throughput ceiling for sequential reads and writes, so sustained transfer rates cannot exceed the bandwidth of a single PCIe 4.0 x4 lane.

RTX 5080 with 16 GB GDDR7

The discrete GPU provides sixteen gigabytes of GDDR7 video memory. That frame-buffer size is the single specification that determines whether the laptop can hold the textures and assets required by the target workload at native resolution.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 16 GB DDR5 configuration or look for a higher capacity?

The laptop ships with 16 GB of DDR5 5600 MHz memory in a dual-channel 2 x 8 GB layout, which handles current games and multitasking well.

How does the 240 Hz QHD+ panel perform in actual gameplay?

The 18-inch 2560 x 1600 display refreshes at 240 Hz, so motion stays sharp in fast-paced titles when the RTX 5080 can push frame rates that high.

What does the PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe interface mean for the 4 TB of storage?

The two 2 TB drives run on PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe, delivering sequential speeds near the interface ceiling for quick boots and level loads.
