Gelid GC Extreme thermal upgrade

HIDevolution replaces the stock thermal paste with Gelid GC Extreme on the CPU and GPU. The upgrade lowers peak temperatures under sustained load, keeping the 24-core Ultra 9-290HX Plus and RTX 5080 closer to their boost clocks for longer sessions.

128GB DDR5 5600 dual-channel memory

Two 64GB modules provide 128GB of DDR5 5600 memory in dual-channel mode. The capacity eliminates paging for heavy multitasking, 3D rendering and large dataset workloads, while the single 1TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe drive handles OS and active projects.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions and weight of the 18" chassis so I can check bag fit?

The laptop measures 15.59 inches wide by 10.95 inches deep by .98 inches high and weighs 7.25 lbs.

How is the Gelid GC Extreme thermal compound applied to the CPU and GPU during the HIDevolution build process?

HIDevolution technicians disassemble the cooling assembly, clean the factory paste, apply Gelid GC Extreme to both the Intel Core Ultra 9-290HX Plus and the RTX 5080 dies, then reassemble and stress-test the system.

Can the two 64 GB DDR5 5600MHz modules be replaced with higher-capacity sticks later?

The board accepts two SO-DIMM slots populated with 2 x 64 GB DDR5 5600MHz; replacing them with larger modules is possible if compatible 64 GB-plus sticks become available.
