Who This Suits And Who Should Look Elsewhere

The 24-core Arrow Lake CPU with 5.5 GHz max turbo and 36 MB cache targets users who need desktop-class multi-thread performance in a portable form factor. The 24 GB GDDR7 GPU memory supports high-resolution textures and compute workloads. Buyers who prioritise lighter weight, smaller screen size, or lower power draw should consider alternative configurations.

Gelid GC Extreme Thermal Interface Material

HIDevolution applies Gelid GC Extreme compound on the CPU and GPU during assembly to improve thermal conductivity and lower operating temperatures under sustained load. This service is performed by the authorised build-to-order dealer before shipment and is covered under their warranty. The upgrade aims to maintain higher boost clocks for longer periods during intensive gaming or rendering sessions.

Questions about this item

How do I open the 18" laptop to install a second M.2 NVMe drive, and which screw do people forget?

Remove the bottom case screws, lift the metal panel carefully, insert the M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD at an angle, secure it with the tiny retaining screw, then reseat the panel; the step most skip is torquing that retaining screw to spec.

When will the Gelid GC Extreme thermal compound on the CPU and GPU need replacement?

The Gelid GC Extreme applied to the Ultra 9-290HX Plus and RTX 5090 typically lasts several years; plan to repaste if sustained core temperatures rise noticeably above baseline under load.

At what point does the 240 Hz QHD+ panel hit its refresh ceiling during long gaming sessions?

The 2560x1600 240 Hz display is the hard limit; once the RTX 5090 pushes frames beyond 240 fps the panel cannot show more, so frame rates effectively cap there.
