Evolis Black Thermal Transfer Ribbon

The Evolis CBGR0500K is a black monochrome ribbon designed for thermal transfer card printers. It supports the Badgy100 and Badgy200 models for single-sided printing tasks. Offices and small organisations use it to produce employee badges, membership cards or visitor passes in-house. Each roll yields up to 500 single-colour prints.

500-Print Capacity Per Roll

One ribbon cartridge delivers 500 cards before replacement is required. The thermal transfer process bonds solid black pigment to PVC or composite card surfaces without ink cartridges or toner. This reduces consumable changes during batch printing sessions. The ribbon installs directly into the printer cassette without additional tools or software configuration.

8.000 Length and 3.000 Dimensions

The ribbon measures 8.000 length by 3.000 dimensions and weighs 20. These physical specifications determine compatibility with the Badgy printer series cassette. Verify that your printer accepts this exact ribbon size before ordering. No other interface, protocol or memory type is associated with this consumable.

Questions about this item

How many cards can the CBGR0500K black ribbon print before it needs replacing?

The CBGR0500K black ribbon is rated for 500 cards per roll, so you will need a new ribbon after that volume.

What is the first limit reached when printing large batches continuously with this ribbon?

The 500-card capacity per roll is the primary limit; once reached the ribbon must be swapped before printing can continue.

Does the CBGR0500K ribbon generate noticeable heat or noise during all-day printing?

As a passive thermal-transfer consumable, the ribbon itself produces no heat or noise; only the printer mechanism creates sound and warmth.
