Purpose & Fit

The Evolis R2011 is a black monochrome ribbon rated for up to 1000 prints per roll. It is designed for Quantum, Tattoo, Dualys, Pebble, Securion and KM500B through KM2000B card printers. Buyers who need full-colour personalisation or a higher single-roll yield cannot use this ribbon.

What the Bundle Changes

The package supplies a single roll of black ribbon, enabling monochrome personalisation of pre-printed cards without colour consumables. This lowers the cost per card for text, barcodes or simple graphics and eliminates the need to stock colour panels for jobs that do not require a picture.

Installation & Common Issues

The ribbon loads into the printer’s standard cartridge slot following the manufacturer’s threading path. Misalignment during loading can cause the ribbon to snag or the printer to report a ribbon error, so the roll must seat squarely and the take-up spool must engage cleanly.

Questions about this item

When will the R2011 ribbon need replacing?

The roll is rated for up to 1000 prints; once that count is reached the ribbon is exhausted and must be swapped for a new roll.

What stops a continuous print run with this ribbon?

The 1000-print capacity per roll is the hard limit; after those prints the ribbon runs out and the printer pauses until a fresh roll is loaded.

Does the R2011 ribbon generate noticeable heat or noise during all-day printing?

The ribbon itself is a passive consumable with no moving parts, so it adds no noise or heat; any sound or warmth comes from the printer mechanism, not the ribbon.
