2" Annular HSS Cutter
The Evolution Power Tools CC200L is a 2 inch diameter annular cutter designed for magnetic drills. It removes only the perimeter of the hole to deliver a reamed, burr-free finish faster than a twist drill. Professional metalworkers and maintenance crews use it to cut clean 2 inch deep holes in structural steel and plate.
Cutting depth limit
The cutter achieves a maximum cutting depth of 2 inches, which defines the thickest material it can penetrate in a single pass. Workpieces thicker than this require multiple operations or a longer cutter. The pilot pin supplied with the cutter must engage the workpiece to eject the slug, so through-holes are necessary for proper operation.
Replaces twist drilling
This annular cutter replaces twist drills for holes of this diameter, cutting up to three times faster while using less power and producing a finished hole without secondary reaming. The step up is worthwhile when repeat accuracy and reduced tool wear matter on high-volume structural jobs. It is not suited for blind holes or non-magnetic materials where a magnetic drill cannot hold.

Questions about this item
Should I choose the 2 inch diameter or a different size cutter?
The CC200L is a 2 inch diameter cutter with 2 inch depth of cut. Select this size when the hole you need matches those dimensions; other diameters are separate part numbers.
What does the 2 inch depth of cut mean when the cutter is in the magnetic drill?
It means the tool can produce a through-hole up to 2 inches deep in a single pass, leaving a reamed, burr-free finish without the thrust required by a twist drill.
What shank interface does this annular cutter use and what does it limit?
The cutter fits Evolution magnetic drills with a standard 3/4 inch Weldon shank, so the maximum diameter and depth are capped by the drill’s stroke and chuck capacity.
