Air cleaner filter for SP-400 and SP-800 systems

This nominal 20 by 20 by 4 inch filter fits Extract-All models SP-400, SP-400-DD and SP-800. It carries a MERV 8 rating and delivers 40 to 45 percent filter efficiency. The frame is included and the media area measures 18.5 square feet. The product meets UL standards.

Sustained airflow performance

The MERV 8 rating indicates consistent particle capture across the 18.5 square foot media area during continuous operation. Efficiency remains in the 40 to 45 percent range under steady airflow rather than only in short bursts. UL compliance confirms the construction withstands normal HVAC duty cycles.

Straightforward replacement with frame included

The filter arrives with its frame, so installation is a direct swap into compatible Extract-All housings. No separate framing parts are required. The main issue is verifying the exact model number; the filter suits SP-400, SP-400-DD and SP-800 units only. Buyers with other air cleaner models cannot use this filter.

Questions about this item

How much pressure drop or noise should I expect from the RF-400-1 filter after it has been running continuously in my HVAC system?

The MERV 8 media with 18.5 sq ft area is designed for low resistance so normal system airflow and sound levels are maintained during all-day operation.

Which air cleaner housings must I already have installed for this 20x20x4 filter to fit and seal correctly?

It is made for the SP-400, SP-400-DD and SP-800 models; the nominal 20 by 20 by 4 inch size and included frame match those units exactly.

Will the RF-400-1 work properly in an older SP-400 cabinet that has been in service for several years?

Yes, the filter dimensions and frame are unchanged for the SP-400 series, so it drops into legacy cabinets without modification.
