Compact carabiner lock for everyday security

The EyezOff EZ-PL172BL is a 3.5-inch carabiner lock built from weatherproof aluminium and zinc alloy. Its 4-dial combination mechanism is user re-settable and requires no keys or batteries. The blue finish adds visibility while the D-shape shackle suits a variety of attachment points.

Passive design with no power or thermal concerns

This lock operates mechanically so it draws no power, generates no heat and produces no noise in any environment. The all-metal construction resists corrosion and handles outdoor exposure without electronic failure. There are no firmware updates or charging cycles to manage.

Fits lockers, bikes and gear without special tools

The 8 mm shackle thickness slides through standard hasps, chain links or helmet D-rings for quick locking. No mounting hardware, apps or wireless pairing are needed so it works immediately on any compatible loop. It does not suit high-security doors or applications requiring audit trails or remote access.

Questions about this item

How do I reset the 4-dial combination on the EZ-PL172BL?

Open the lock with the current code, then follow the shackle-rotation steps described in the included manual to set your new 4-digit sequence.

What part of the EZ-PL172BL will need attention over time?

The dial mechanism and shackle hinge should be lubricated periodically, and the weatherproof aluminum body may need cleaning after heavy outdoor exposure.

What stops the EZ-PL172BL from working during prolonged outdoor use?

Grit or corrosion in the dial wheels can prevent the combination from aligning, which is the first failure mode under sustained weather exposure.
