Wearable Ring Barcode Scanner

The Eyoyo EY-016 is a lightweight ring-style scanner weighing 30 g. It supports USB wired, 2.4G wireless and Bluetooth connections. The device reads 1D and 2D codes including QR, Data Matrix and PDF417. It is built for inventory, warehouse and retail workers who need hands-free scanning.

Thermals Noise and Power

At 30 g the scanner adds virtually no hand fatigue during extended shifts. No active cooling or fan is present so operation is silent. Power is drawn from the internal battery during wireless use or from the USB cable when wired. The supplier notes a 330° adjustable rotation head for ergonomic positioning.

2D Imaging Scan Engine

The flagship-level 2D engine decodes codes from phone screens, curved labels and damaged print. Supported symbologies include UPC/EAN, Code 39, Code 93, Code 128, Codabar, QR, Data Matrix and PDF417. Buyers needing long-range or fixed-mount scanning should consider a different form factor.

Questions about this item

How do I wear the EY-016 ring scanner and what is the common mistake?

Slide the ring onto the index or middle finger of either hand, then rotate the scan head up to 330° so the window faces the barcode; the step people miss is aligning the head before pairing, otherwise the beam points sideways.

What part will need replacement first on the EY-016?

The rechargeable battery inside the 30 g body is the only consumable; after hundreds of charge cycles the runtime drops and the whole unit must be swapped because the battery is not user-replaceable.

What limits continuous scanning on the EY-016 during a long shift?

The small battery capacity means the scanner will need recharging after several hours of non-stop 2D imaging; heat from the scan engine can also trigger a brief cool-down pause.
