Eyoyo EY-031 Ring Scanner

The Eyoyo EY-031 is a wearable ring barcode scanner designed for hands-free data capture. It reads 1D and 2D codes including UPC and QR formats. The device supports Bluetooth, 2.4G wireless, and USB wired connections for broad host compatibility. A fixed scanner head replaces the rotating mechanism found on earlier models to reduce mechanical failure.

Suitable Users and Limitations

This scanner suits retail, library, and inventory staff who need to keep both hands free while scanning. The two-finger ring design fits either hand and weighs under 1.5 ounces for all-day comfort. It is not for users who require a pistol-grip form factor or a dedicated presentation stand. Buyers needing integrated charging cradles or batch memory storage should look at other product types.

Three-in-One Connectivity

The single specification that decides fit is the 3-in-1 connection system combining Bluetooth, 2.4G wireless, and USB wired modes. It works with Windows XP through 10, Mac OS, Android, and iOS devices. The scanner switches between HID, SPP, and BLE protocols depending on the host. Choose this model only if your workflow requires all three link types in one device.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the Bluetooth, 2.4G or USB wired mode for the EY-031?

The scanner supports all three: Bluetooth for phones and tablets, 2.4G wireless for PCs and POS via the included dongle, and USB wired when you need a direct, always-on link.

What does the 30 % productivity claim mean in daily use?

It reflects time saved by keeping both hands free — workers scan items while moving stock, packing or typing without putting a handheld gun down.

Does the 2.4 GHz link limit range or device count?

The 2.4G dongle pairs one-to-one with the ring scanner; typical indoor range is up to 10 metres, and it does not share the channel with other 2.4G peripherals.
