Officially licensed MacReady tin tote

This Factory Entertainment collectible is a diecast metal lunch box featuring detailed artwork of MacReady from the cult horror film The Thing. It is designed for adult collectors and fans of retro horror memorabilia. The unisex accessory arrives new with a secure latch closure for safe storage or display.

Durable metal construction for long-term display

The diecast metal body resists dents and wear better than thin stamped tins, keeping the retro artwork vibrant through years of shelf display. A tight latch keeps the lid shut during handling so contents stay protected. The piece is not intended for children under 12 years old.

Simple latch operation with no assembly required

The tote opens and closes with a single metal clasp that snaps securely without tools or force. Common issues include minor paint scuffs on sharp edges if the box is stacked heavily, and the hinge pin can loosen after repeated hard snaps.

Questions about this item

Does the metal construction make the tin tote noisy when carried all day?

The diecast metal body is solid but produces only a light rattle when moved; it stays cool to the touch and needs no power.

What must I already own for this collectible to serve its purpose?

You only need the retro memorabilia or small collectibles you want to store or display inside the tin.

Will the 12+ age rating and horror theme clash with older family-friendly collectibles on the same shelf?

The MacReady artwork is unmistakably horror-styled, so it stands out visually but does not damage or interfere with neighbouring items.
