Questions about this item

How is the KD1010 glass run kit installed, and which step is commonly missed?

The kit fits 1968-1986 Jeep CJ5 door frames; the step often missed is cleaning the old adhesive channel thoroughly before pressing the new transparent runs into place.

What maintenance or replacement will the transparent glass runs need later?

Inspect the rubber yearly for UV cracking; replace the runs when they harden or let wind noise and water into the cabin.

What limit appears first under sustained use of the KD1010 kit?

The transparent material yellows and loses elasticity after prolonged sun exposure, reducing seal effectiveness before the metal channels wear.
