Four-pack waterproof phone pouch

The Famoby pouch comes in a set of four multicolour dry bags rated IP68 for submersion. Each bag fits smartphones up to 8.3 inches diagonal and includes a sturdy lanyard for hands-free carrying. The transparent PVC window allows full touchscreen operation, photo and video capture without removing the device. It also holds cards, cash and keys alongside the phone.

Touch sensitivity at depth

The 0.3 mm PVC layer remains responsive during prolonged underwater use so typing, swiping and shutter presses work without noticeable delay. The supplier recommends a 15 minute paper-towel test before trusting the seal with a phone. After submersion the top mount should be opened facing downwards to prevent trapped water from entering the pouch. The PC and PVC construction is described as skin-safe for extended wear.

IP68 practical limits

The IP68 rating certifies protection at 30 meter depth under controlled conditions. Real-world factors such as water pressure, temperature shifts and physical impacts can reduce the effective seal over time. The pouch dimensions of 8.6 by 4.3 inches set the maximum device size; larger handsets or thick cases will not fit. No wireless charging or data transfer is possible while the phone remains sealed inside.

Questions about this item

Does the IP68 rating mean the pouch generates heat or noise during all-day beach use?

The pouch is a passive dry bag with no electronics, so it produces no heat or noise regardless of how long it stays submerged.

What must I already own for the 8.3-inch compatible pouch to protect my phone?

You only need a smartphone up to 8.3 inches diagonal; the pack includes four pouches and four lanyards ready to use.

Will the clear PVC window still let me use touch ID or face unlock on an older iPhone kept inside?

The 0.3 mm transparent PVC is designed for full touch sensitivity, so biometric sensors and on-screen controls work through the window.
