Extra-large silicone countertop protector

The Famous Dino KCM28x20 mat measures 28 inches by 20 inches and sits directly on quartz, granite or marble surfaces. Extra-thick heat-resistant silicone shields counters from hot pots, air-fryer exhaust and toaster-oven heat. A waterproof, non-slip finish keeps appliances steady during use.

Sustained heat and spill resistance

The mat maintains its shape and non-porous surface through repeated high-temperature contact and daily liquid spills. Thicker construction resists scratches and wear better than standard mats. Food-grade, odourless silicone stays safe for direct food contact and toddler-safe cleaning routines.

28 by 20 inch coverage footprint

The single-piece dimensions decide whether the mat covers your island, coffee station or baking zone in one sheet. Buyers needing a smaller footprint or multiple pre-cut sections will find this size excessive.

Questions about this item

How much heat can the 28" x 20" silicone mat withstand during all-day use near an air fryer or toaster oven?

The extra-thick silicone is rated heat resistant and protects quartz, granite or marble surfaces from hot pots, air fryers and toaster ovens without warping or discolouring.

Does the Famous Dino KCM28x20 need any extra accessories to stay in place on a smooth countertop?

No, the non-slip backing grips the surface on its own and the set already includes a bonus cleaning cloth for quick wipe-downs.

Will this 28" x 20" mat work safely on an older laminate or tile countertop that scratches easily?

Yes, the thick waterproof silicone forms a non-porous barrier that prevents scratches, stains and heat marks on any countertop material.
