  • Brand-new condition ensures full reliability

Product Identity

The Fans 12038 is a 12 cm case fan built around the AVC DV12038B12H blower design. It runs on a 12 V supply and draws 4.5 A through a four-wire connection for speed control. The unit targets system integrators and enthusiasts who need high-volume airflow in a standard 12038 frame.

Interface Constraints

The four-wire lead enables PWM regulation but requires a compatible header on the motherboard or fan controller. Without that header the fan will not report speed or accept variable duty cycles. Builders using two-wire or three-wire headers cannot use the control features. The 4.5 A current draw also demands a power source rated for that load.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 12 V 4.5 A version or a lower-amperage 12038 fan?

Choose the 4.5 A model when the chassis or controller can supply that current; it delivers the maximum airflow the 12038 frame is rated for.

What does the 4.5 A rating mean once the fan is installed?

It draws up to 4.5 A at 12 V, so the four-wire PWM header must be rated for at least that current to run the blower at full speed.
