2218 Blower Fan Overview

The Fans 2218 blower measures 22 by 26 by 35 millimetres and runs on 5.0 volts. It is built for direct memory-module cooling in tight spaces where a standard axial fan will not fit. The single-channel centrifugal design pushes air through a focused outlet.

At 10000 RPM the fan delivers 0.7 CFM with 4.8 mmAq static pressure while drawing 80 mA. That airflow handles typical DDR module thermals, but it will run out of capacity on high-density stacks or overclocked memory that needs greater volume.

5 Volt Interface Limits

The 5.0 volt supply caps both speed and pressure at the rated figures. A lower voltage drops RPM and pressure proportionally, while a higher voltage is not supported. The two-wire connection offers no PWM control or tachometer feedback.
