SKU CH-QZDH-7ME6K

A compact 40mm x 20mm case fan that runs on 12V power through a 3-pin connector

  • Compact 40 mm x 20 mm frame fits tight chassis spaces
  • 12 V 3-pin power for simple motherboard connection
  • Sunon KDE1204PKV3MS.AR.GN model built for reliable airflow
  • New condition ensures full performance from first use

Compact 40 mm case fan

This 40 mm by 20 mm case fan fits tight spaces where larger units cannot be mounted. It runs on 12 V power and connects through a standard 3-pin header. The slim profile suits small-form-factor builds and targeted component cooling.

Limited airflow for high-heat loads

The 4020 frame size restricts the volume of air this fan can move compared with larger models. Builders who need substantial case throughput or GPU-level cooling should look elsewhere. The 3-pin connector also means speed control depends on motherboard voltage regulation rather than PWM.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 4020 or the 1204 version?

The 4020 refers to the 40 mm by 20 mm frame size, while 1204 is part of the Sunon model code KDE1204PKV3MS.AR.GN. Both describe the same fan, so choose the listing that matches your mounting holes and 12 V 3-pin header.

What does the 12 V rating mean once the fan is installed?

It means the fan draws power from a standard 12 V motherboard header or fan controller. The 3-pin connector supplies constant voltage, so speed stays fixed unless the board reduces voltage through its own fan-curve settings.
