  • Full-metal housing withstands high-temperature environments
  • ebmpapst 8500N series built for industrial reliability
  • Ready-to-install case fan for demanding cooling tasks

High-temperature metal case fan

The ebmpapst 8500N is a full-metal case fan built for environments where standard plastic units would deform or fail. It operates on 115 V mains power and is intended for industrial enclosures or custom rigs that need sustained airflow at elevated ambient temperatures. Buyers who need a fan powered by a standard motherboard header or who require PWM speed control should look elsewhere.

Thermal and acoustic profile

The all-metal construction allows continuous operation in high-temperature conditions without structural degradation. Power draw is determined by the 115 V AC design rather than a low-voltage DC circuit, so noise levels and current consumption follow mains-frequency motor characteristics. No RPM, airflow or decibel figures are provided by the supplier.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 8500N fan and what step is often missed?

Mount the 8500N using its four corner holes, then connect the two leads to a 115 V AC supply; the step most often missed is confirming the mains voltage matches the fan rating before powering on.

What maintenance will the 8500N need over time?

Periodically clean dust from the metal blades and housing with compressed air; the sealed bearings are not user-serviceable, so replace the entire 8500N unit if noise or vibration develops.
