220V capacitive case fan

The Fans A2175-HBT 17251 is a full-metal case fan that runs directly on 220V mains power. Its capacitive temperature control adjusts speed automatically as internal heat changes. The 172 by 172 by 51 millimetre frame fits standard large-fan mounting points. It suits builders who want active cooling without a separate low-voltage power supply.

Mains-powered cooling fit

Because the unit connects to 220V, the build must provide a safe mains feed and a suitable grille or guard. No motherboard fan header or PWM controller is required, freeing those headers for other devices. The metal housing withstands higher ambient temperatures than plastic alternatives. Builders needing variable-speed control via software or a 4-pin header cannot use this fan.

Questions about this item

What thermal threshold triggers the capacitive temperature control on the A2175-HBT?

The capacitive sensor activates the fan when internal temperatures rise above the preset threshold, increasing airflow through the 172 mm frame to stabilise component temperatures.

How much audible noise does the 220 V metal-cased fan produce during continuous operation?

The full-metal housing and capacitive drive run quietly at 220 V, delivering steady 172 x 172 x 51 mm airflow without the vibration or whine common in lighter plastic units.
