Questions about this item

How does the 40 mm fan perform once installed in a TravelMate 7740?

The 40 mm fan draws heat from the CPU heatsink and exhausts it through the chassis vents, keeping processor temperatures within design limits during normal workloads.

What connector does the MG75090V1-B040-S99 use and what does it control?

It plugs into the motherboard fan header and lets the system vary speed based on CPU temperature, so the cooler runs quieter at idle and faster under load.
