High-voltage 12 cm case fan

This 120 mm by 38 mm fan runs on 48 V DC and draws 0.27 A through a three-wire connection. Dual ball bearings support continuous operation in servers or industrial enclosures. The frame matches the standard 120 mm square footprint used in many rack-mount chassis.

Suited for 48 V cooling systems

Builders working with 12 V consumer motherboards or laptop-style headers cannot use this unit directly. Buyers who need PWM speed control or a lower-voltage option should look at a different specification.

Questions about this item

How do I wire the 3-wire connector on this 12038 fan to a 48V supply?

Connect the red lead to +48V, black to ground, and the third wire to the tachometer input; the fan draws 0.27A so ensure the header can supply that current.

When should I replace the dual ball bearings in this AFB1248VHE?

Replace the fan if bearing noise appears or rotation becomes uneven; dual ball bearings typically last tens of thousands of hours at 48V 0.27A operation.
