AC axial case fan for 220 V mains

The Fans AFB803822H SLEEVE 8038 is an AC axial case fan designed for direct 220 V mains operation. It fits standard 80 mm by 80 mm mounting holes with a 38 mm frame depth. The sleeve bearing keeps the mechanical layout simple for continuous duty in enclosures and chassis.

Thermals, noise and power draw in normal use

The sleeve bearing runs quietly at low speeds and draws minimal power from the 220 V supply. Airflow scales linearly with the AC frequency so thermal performance stays predictable. No PWM or voltage control is present; the fan runs at a fixed speed whenever mains power is applied.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 8038 fan and which wiring step is often missed?

The 80 mm square frame uses four corner screw holes; the step installers skip is connecting the two AC leads to a 220 V supply with correct polarity before securing the fan.

What part of the AFB803822H will wear out first and need replacement?

The sleeve bearing inside the 803822H motor is the service item; once it becomes noisy or develops excess play the whole fan must be swapped.
