SKU CH-55SK-F8XRX

A 12 cm PWM case fan drawing 1.6 A for thermostat-controlled airflow

  • PWM control adjusts speed automatically
  • 12 cm frame fits standard case mounts
  • 6 A current delivers strong airflow
  • Thermostat function regulates cooling based on temperature

Delta AFC1212DE 120 mm PWM fan

The Delta AFC1212DE Y4574 is a 12 cm case fan built for systems that need strong forced airflow. Its 1.6 A PWM motor delivers high static pressure for dense heatsinks or restrictive chassis layouts. The unit suits workstations and servers where thermal headroom is critical.

Practical limits of the 12 V PWM interface

PWM control allows automatic speed scaling, yet the 1.6 A draw may exceed standard motherboard headers rated for 1 A. Builders without a high-current header or fan controller cannot use the fan at full speed. Systems limited to 3-pin voltage control lose PWM precision and thermostat feedback.

Questions about this item

Which version should I pick between the 1212 and 4574 model numbers?

The 1212 and 4574 identifiers appear together in the supplier title for this single 12 cm PWM fan; they are not separate versions to choose between.

What does the 1.6 A current rating mean for everyday cooling performance?

It shows the fan can draw up to 1.6 amps on the 12 V PWM header, giving strong airflow for demanding thermal loads.
