230 mm 12 V case fan for high-airflow builds

This 230 mm bare fan runs on 12 V and draws 0.4 A. It suits cases designed for large-frame cooling where a single wide rotor can move more air than multiple smaller units. Builders who need a drop-in replacement for an AVC BASA0819B2U frame will find the mounting pattern compatible.

Thermals noise and power draw in normal use

At the rated 0.4 A the fan consumes only a few watts, keeping power draw low for a chassis of this diameter. The large blade span allows lower rotational speeds to achieve target airflow, which typically reduces audible noise compared with faster-spinning alternatives. No additional power connectors or controllers are required beyond a standard 12 V header.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 230 mm bare fan in my case?

Align the four mounting holes with the case fan slots and secure using the supplied or standard 230 mm fan screws; the step people miss is checking clearance for the 12 V power lead before tightening.

What maintenance will the 12 V 0.4 A motor need over time?

Expect to clean dust from the blades and frame every few months; if bearing noise appears after extended use the whole unit is replaced rather than serviced.
