Centrifugal Turbofan AC230V
The Fans R2E180-CB28-01 is an ebm-papst centrifugal blower with backward curved blades designed for air intake in industrial and enclosure cooling. It runs on single-phase 230 VAC mains power at 50 or 60 Hz. The unit includes a 1.5 µF 450 VDB capacitor and inlet ring attached for immediate installation.
Steel Plate Build and Direct Mains Wiring
A sturdy steel plate housing protects the external rotor motor while the compact design fits tight machinery spaces. Operation requires wiring directly to 230 VAC supply with the supplied capacitor; no rolling casing is needed so mounting is simplified for intake or exhaust configurations.
Thermals Noise and Power Draw
At 50 Hz the motor draws 0.28 A and 60 W while spinning at 2550 rpm; at 60 Hz it draws 0.33 A and 75 W at 2800 rpm. Starting current reaches 0.45 A. The fan is rated for ambient temperatures from -25 °C to 60 °C and carries CE approval.

Questions about this item
What does the 230 V AC single-phase supply limit the fan to in practice?
It runs directly from 230 V mains at 50 Hz (2550 rpm, 60 W) or 60 Hz (2800 rpm, 75 W) with a 1.5 µF 450 V capacitor.
What physical clearance does the R2E180-CB28-01 need for the inlet ring and capacitor?
The backward-curved impeller needs free air intake and the supplied inlet ring plus 1.5 µF capacitor must be mounted externally.
How is the fan wired at start-up and what step is often missed?
Connect live and neutral to the motor terminals and the 1.5 µF capacitor across the auxiliary winding; forgetting the capacitor prevents rotation.
