120 mm Full-Metal Case Fan 38 mm Deep

The Fans CN55B2 is a 120 mm square frame fan with a 38 mm thick full-metal housing designed for 100 V AC operation. It draws 0.23 A on one tap and 0.19 A on the other, making it suitable for industrial enclosures or server chassis that require robust airflow at mains voltage.

AC Mains Voltage Limits Direct Connection

Because the unit runs directly from 100 V AC, it cannot be powered from a standard motherboard header or a 12 V DC supply. Installers must provide a suitable mains circuit with proper insulation and strain relief, and the dual-current taps offer only two fixed speed points rather than variable control.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 0.23A or 0.19A version for my 100V setup?

Both ratings belong to the same CN55B2 fan; the 0.23A figure is the higher current draw at start-up while 0.19A is the steady running current.

What does the 38mm thickness mean once the fan is installed in my case?

The 38mm depth requires more clearance behind the 120mm mounting holes than slimmer models, so confirm your chassis has the extra room before fitting.
