Compatible Laptop CPU Cooler Fan

This new CPU cooling fan fits ASUS G71, X73SL, M70SV, X71, G71GX, M70, M70V, G61, X61 and G72 notebooks. It uses a four-wire connector for PWM speed control and replaces the original heatsink fan assembly. Builders servicing these specific models can restore factory cooling performance.

Four-Wire Connector Eases Installation

The 4-line plug matches the motherboard header directly, so no adapter or soldering is required. Accessing the fan usually means removing the bottom cover and heat-pipe screws, which varies by chassis. Buyers without laptop disassembly experience or those needing a different connector layout should verify the pin-out before ordering.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 4-line connector is working correctly after installing the fan in my ASUS G71?

Power on the laptop and listen for the fan spinning; then check the BIOS hardware monitor or a Windows utility such as HWMonitor to verify the CPU fan RPM is reported and changes with load.

What comes in the box and do I need any extra cables or screws for my ASUS X73SL?

The package contains the replacement CPU cooling fan with its 4-line connector pre-attached; mounting screws are reused from the original heatsink, so no additional parts are required.
