Suits 48V Systems Only

This unit suits builds that provide a 48-volt fan header and need the 38-millimetre thickness. It is not for systems limited to lower-voltage headers or thinner mounting spaces. Buyers who require a different voltage or slimmer profile should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install the DATA0838B8U fan and which wire is the PWM control that people often mix up?

Mount the 80 x 80 mm frame with four screws, then connect the 4-wire plug so the fourth wire (usually blue) carries the PWM signal; reversing the PWM and tach wires is the common mistake.

What maintenance will the dual ball bearing assembly need over its service life?

The dual ball bearings are sealed and lubricated for life, so no re-lubrication is required; if noise or vibration appears after extended use, replace the entire 48 V 0.29 A unit.
