Compatible replacement for Dell N5010

Thermals, noise and power in normal use

The heatsink and fan combination restores the cooling capacity Dell specified for this chassis. Under typical workloads the fan spins at the factory profile, keeping noise at the original acoustic level. Power draw matches the stock specification, so the system's thermal management behaves exactly as designed.

Questions about this item

How do I install the NC4TX radiator fan heatsink in my Dell N5010, and what step is commonly missed?

Remove the bottom cover, disconnect the old fan cable, and unscrew the heatsink assembly; the step often missed is cleaning old thermal paste from the CPU and GPU dies before applying fresh compound.

What maintenance or replacement will the NC4TX fan heatsink need over time?

Expect to clean dust from the heatsink fins and fan blades every six to twelve months; if the bearing becomes noisy or airflow drops, replace the entire NC4TX unit as it is not serviceable.
