A 50 mm square, 15 mm thick blower fan runs on 12 V at .08 A with a 3-wire connection

  • Compact 50 mm blower fits tight server bays
  • 12 V DC motor draws only 0.08 A
  • 15 mm slim profile slides into 1U chassis
  • 3-wire tachometer enables speed monitoring

Compact 12 V blower for tight server chassis

This 50 × 50 × 15 mm blower draws 0.08 A from a 12 V supply and uses a three-wire connection for speed monitoring. Its small footprint suits 1U and blade servers where conventional axial fans cannot fit. The blower layout pushes air through restricted channels rather than across open space.

Replaces noisy or failed OEM blowers of the same

Swap it in when the original unit develops bearing noise or fails to spin up. The upgrade is worthwhile only if the replacement matches the 12 V, 0.08 A and three-wire specification; higher-draw or two-wire models will not be compatible.

Questions about this item

What are the exact mounting dimensions for the FB5015L12B blower fan?

The fan measures 50 mm square and 15 mm thick with mounting holes on the 50 mm centres, so it fits any standard 50 mm fan cutout.

How do I connect the three-wire lead on this 12 V blower and what mistake should I avoid?

Plug the three-pin connector into a 12 V motherboard or controller header; the third wire is a tachometer signal, not a PWM input, so do not treat it as a four-pin PWM fan.
