Small 20mm magnetic levitation case fan in black plastic frame

Fans

Fans GM0501PFV1-8 5V 0.9W 20mm 2010 case fan

SKU CH-GR79-K5VEN

A 5 V magnetic-levitation case fan measuring 20 mm square for compact cooling

  • Magnetic levitation reduces friction for quieter operation
  • 5 V DC input at 0.9 W keeps power draw low
  • 20 mm square frame fits tight 2010 form-factor spaces
  • Compact 2010 footprint suits small-form-factor builds

Ultra-compact 5 V magnetic-levitation fan

The Fans GM0501PFV1-8 is a 20 mm square DC fan that runs on a 5 V supply and draws .9 W. Its magnetic-levitation bearing reduces friction and noise, making it suitable for tight enclosures such as small-form-factor PCs, embedded boards or portable devices where space and low voltage are the primary constraints.

2010 frame size with modest airflow headroom

The 2010 form factor limits blade area, so the fan moves enough air for low-power components but will not cool high-wattage CPUs or GPUs. Builders who need greater static pressure or higher CFM for dense heatsinks should look elsewhere, as the physical dimensions cap the achievable airflow.

Questions about this item

Will the 5 V 0.9 W GM0501PFV1-8 fan run from the same 5 V header I use for older 2010-era case fans?

Yes, it draws 0.9 W at 5 V DC, matching the voltage and connector type used on many 2010-vintage motherboards and fan controllers.

How can I confirm the magnetic-levitation bearing is spinning correctly after I install the 20 mm GM0501PFV1-8?

Power the system and listen for a smooth, steady hum without rattling; the magnetic-levitation design should run quietly with no audible bearing noise at 5 V.
