  • 3-wire alarm signal alerts you to fan failure
  • 25 mm thickness suits standard mounting slots

85 mm 12 V case fan with alarm signal

This 85 mm square case fan runs on 12 V and draws 3.6 W. It uses a three-wire connection that provides an alarm signal for monitoring fan status. The 25 mm thickness fits standard mounting points in compact enclosures or projector housings.

Limited to fixed-speed operation

The three-wire interface does not carry a PWM control line, so speed cannot be adjusted by the motherboard or a fan controller. Buyers who need variable-speed cooling or software-controlled curves should choose a four-wire PWM model instead.

Questions about this item

Which version of this 85 mm fan matches my projector's alarm connector?

The KDE1285PTV1 and PSD1285PTB1-A are the same 85×25 mm unit with a 3-wire alarm signal; choose the part number printed on your original fan.

What does the 3.6 W rating tell me about airflow in a tight projector chassis?

At 12 V the fan draws 3.6 W, giving enough static pressure for the 8.5 cm frame to push air through dense projector heatsinks while the alarm wire warns the system if the rotor stops.
